摘要: The spread of benzimidazole-resistant nematodes in dairy goat farms is a great concern as probably more than 70% the flocks are involved. As there very few other anthelmintic options during lactating period, we have evaluated efficacy copper oxide needles (CON, Copinox, Bayer, UK) both experimental and natural infections goats. curative effect CON (2–4 g) on existing worm burdens was assessed goats experimentally infected with Teladorsagia circumcincta, Haemonchus contortus Trichostrongylus colubriformis, compared to controls. preventive (4 establishment monitored for 2 months animals H. 3 naturally farm exhibiting predominant T. circumcincta Oesophagostomum venulosum. In conditions, nil against Teladorsagia, infections. contrast, clearly established reducing burden (75%) well lowering egg output (37–95%) relation new over several weeks. Copper may represent an alternative conventional anthelmintics control infection some farms.
