摘要: Adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) protein is the product of APC gene, located near 5q21–22 boundary. It involved in a number critical cellular processes such as cell polarity and cell–cell adhesion (with, e.g., E-cadherin β-catenin), cytoskeletal organization spindle formation, plus indirectly, β-catenin nuclear signaling. Inherited mutations gene are associated with development hundreds to thousands adenomatous polyps (i.e., benign tumors characterized by dysplasia) predominantly large bowel, predisposing cancers, well several extracolonic features.
