摘要: ABSTRACTHyper-branched poly(styrene) (HPS) made from copolymerisation of styrene (St) and a branching monomer divinylbenzene (DVB) in the presence chain transfer agent n-dodecanethiol (C12SH) was grafted onto surface nano-SiO2 via emulsion polymerisation (donated as HPS-SiO2). A series PS/HPS-SiO2 composites were obtained by addition prepared HPS-SiO2 into pure PS. The structures properties product characterised Fourier-transform infrared spectra (FT-IR), differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetric analysis dynamic mechanical (DMA). results showed strong interface interaction between HPS indicating that has nano-SiO2. storage modulus, Young’s glass transition temperature (Tg) thermal decomposition composite increased apparently loading an appropriate amount HPS-grafted SiO2.
