摘要: Functional and nutraceutical foods are gaining popularity worldwide due to the consumer trend towards natural cure by means of dietary modifications. In 20th Century, nutritionists Western world focused mainly on identification, isolation purification nutrients essential for human growth development. Garlic (Allium sativum), is one most vegetables providing health benefits array bioactive compounds. These moieties responsible curing various lifestyle related disorders like hyperlipidemia, diabetes, obesity cancer insurgence. this context, aqueous garlic extraction was carried out followed by in vivo modeling. Efficacy study conducted extract along with basal diet rabbits a period 28 days. Accordingly, four groups were made different concentrations (control, 3, 6 9 mL/kg body weight). containing water soluble active compounds resulted in significant reduction total cholesterol LDL level indicating their effectiveness against hypercholesterolemic perspectives allied discrepancies. Likewise, serum glucose also substantially reduced extract. From present investigation, it deduced that effective hypercholesterolemia hyperglycemia.   Key words: Functional food, foods, extract, hypercholesterolemia, hyperglycemic perspectives.
