摘要: Abstract This study employed a mathematical model of the respiratory control system to test plausibility hypothesis that circadian rhythms in can significantly influence stability at sleep onset. Computer simulations utilized standardized “normal” onset effect, superimposed upon systematic changes chemoreflex parameters mimicked peaks and troughs normal high amplitude rhythms. The analysis predicted influences may augment sleep-induced periodic breathing nocturnal compared with daytime naps. Furthermore, increased threshold, or absence rhythm peripheral chemosensitivity, each acted stabilize respiration during promote High were cause an increasing number duration obstructive apnoeas from early late night. It is suggested timing creates window vulnerability abnormal could potentially induce apnoea, even individuals mechanisms.
