摘要: Roux-en-Y bypass surgery is the most common bariatric procedure currently performed in United States for medically complicated obesity. Although this leads to a marked and sustained weight loss, we have identified an increasing number of patients with episodes nephrolithiasis afterwards. We describe case series 60 seen at Mayo Clinic-Rochester that developed after gastric (RYGB), including subset 31 who had undergone metabolic evaluation Stone Clinic. The mean body mass index before was 57 kg/m(2) decrease 20 time stone event, which averaged 2.2 years post-procedure. When analyzed, calcium oxalate stones were found 19 mixed oxalate/uric acid two patients. Hyperoxaluria prevalent factor even without prior history nephrolithiasis, usually presented more than 6 months procedure. Calcium supersaturation, however, equally high less post-procedure due lower urine volumes. In small random sampling undergoing procedure, hyperoxaluria rare preoperatively but 12 surgery. conclude potential complicating RYGB manifested as risk stones.
