摘要: Renal failure secondary to oxalate interstitial nephritis developed in three patients with malabsorption and steatorrhea following a jejunoileal bypass, extensive small intestine resection partial gastrectomy. Hyperoxaluria was documented two of the cases. The possibility that this complication can occur after bypass operation is now recognized. This report shows it also other bowel disorders cause steatorrhea. Since prognosis for nephropathy poor, renal function should be closely monitored who are at risk because these disorders. Therapy directed correcting malabsorption, hyperoxaluria. When continues decline despite intensive medical therapy, restoration continuity strongly recommended.
