Identification of a Novel Linear B Cell Epitope on the Sao Protein of Streptococcus suis Serotype 2.

摘要: Surface antigen one (Sao) protein is a bacterial surface identified in the important zoonotic pathogen Streptococcus suis serotype 2 (S. 2) during an extensive search for functional proteins. The Sao anchored to cell wall by LPVTG motif and widely distributed many S. serotypes. In this paper, we present immunodominant epitope peptide of that recognized BALB/c antibodies against protein: 355SEKQMPSVVNENAVTPEKQMTNKENDNIET384 (location Sao355-384). To determine core antibodies, prepared truncation libraries. Analyses immunoreactivity peptides with anti-Sao355-384 serum revealed most immunoreactive sequence was 355SEKQMPSVVNENAVTPEK372 Sao355-372). Moreover, observed also showed good specificity based on ratio reactivity from suis-positive patients compared suis-negative patients. Our results point potential using Sao355-372 diagnostic assays infection humans.
