Auditory Function in Diabetics

摘要: Assessments of the hearing in diabetics by means simple clinical tests and at times also pure tone audiometry have yielded most conflicting results. In published surveys frequency sensorineural impairment has varied between 0 80%. It was therefore felt desirable to investigate this problem applying modern audiological tests, which so far not been done. Ninety-nine relatively young known examined. Pure audiograms were normal considered as group means. A small but definite degree noted when patients tested speech distorted well Bekesy directional audiometry. view psychoacoustic nature latter all results critically evaluated.
