摘要: Abstract Colorectal cancer, a leading cause of mortality worldwide, is multistep disorder that results from the alteration genetic and epigenetic mechanisms under contextual influence. Epigenetic aberrations, including DNA methylation, histone modifications, chromatin remodeling non-coding RNAs, affect every aspect tumor development initiation to metastasis. Cancer stem cell promotion also included in wide spectrum dysregulations. Elucidation this complex crosstalk network may offer new insights molecular interactions involved pathogenesis colorectal carcinogenesis. In era translational medicine horizons are opened for pursuit personalized therapeutic approaches novel accurate diagnostic, prognostic therapy-assessment markers. This review discusses implications biology their applications “from bench bedside”.
