摘要: Most physicians continue to report overall career satisfaction, but increased public and patient expectations administrative regulatory controls contribute perceptions of increased time pressures erosion of autonomy. Increasingly, knowledgeable patients armed with information from the media, as well guidelines developed by health plans, government, specialty societies, professional organizations, advocacy groups, confront physicians with a bewildering array new demands. Although physicians are spending more than in earlier periods they feel themselves on treadmill. Strategies ease include use enhanced scope nonphysician clinicians, adoption technology disease management programs reduce errors increase efficiency quality, and thoughtful practice design. Use such strategies, combined leadership and clear sense direction, can empower physicians, provide them with expanded knowledge expert systems, relieve some burdens and frustrations.
