摘要: We demonstrate precisely what particle physics information can be extracted from a single direct detection observation of dark matter while making absolutely no assumptions about the local velocity distribution and density matter. Our central conclusions follow very simple observation: is positive definite, f(v){>=}0. utility this result in several ways. First, we show falling deconvoluted recoil spectrum (deconvoluted nuclear form factor), such as ordinary elastic scattering, 'mocked up' by any mass above kinematic minimum. As an example, that much heavier than previously considered explain CoGeNT excess. Specifically, m{sub {chi} }m{sub Ge} depends on understanding sensitivity xenon to at low energies, E{sub R} < or approx. 6 keVnr. Second, rise represents distinct cannot faked arbitrary f(v). examples resulting nontrivial physics, inelastic with formmore » factor both yield rise.« less
