A halo-independent lower bound on the dark matter capture rate in the Sun from a direct detection signal

摘要: We show that a positive signal in dark matter (DM) direct detection experiment can be used to place lower bound on the DM capture rate Sun, independent of halo. For given particle physics model and mass we obtain local density, velocity distribution, galactic escape velocity, as well scattering cross section. illustrate this by assuming upcoming experiments will soon significant signal. When comparing with limits high-energy neutrino flux from Sun telescopes, upper branching fraction annihilation channels leading neutrinos. With current data IceCube Super-Kamiokande non-trivial obtained for spin-dependent interactions annihilations into In some cases also $\tau\tau$ or $b\bar b$ start getting constrained. spin-independent constraints are weak, but they may become interesting future telescopes.
