摘要: Abstract The electrophoretic mobility (μ) of rod-shaped viruses has been measured as a function agarose percentage ( A ) during gel electrophoresis. Semilogarithmic μ vs. . plots were linear (slope = -KR) for lower than critical that decreased with increasing length the rod. At higher values , curvature in this plot rods was opposite to spheres. observed dependence K R on particle's dimensions compared results predicted by use previously made (Rodbard, D. and Chrambach, A. [1970] Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci., U.S.A. 65 970-977) conjectures.
