摘要: Strains of the Mycobacterium avium intracellulare complex (MAIC) have become important colonisers patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Restriction fragment length polymorphisms were used to study DNA from 88 MAIC isolates, including 51 derived 47 AIDS patients. isolates 33 45 identical at molecular level and distinct mycobacteria isolated stools healthy subjects. The also showed that serotyping correlates poorly genetic identity these organisms. paratuberculosis, which has been implicated in Crohn's disease, was not identified any cultures studied.
