摘要: Abstract The synthesis of herpes simplex virus antigens was studied in BHK21 cells deprived arginine for 48 hours prior to infection and maintained the absence thereafter. Even though infectious yields were 10,000-fold lower than those obtained presence arginine, immunofluorescent (IF) complement-fixing (CF) detected. However, both IF CF found primarily cytoplasm infected cells. Release block at 10 after resulted prompt appearance increasing amounts nuclear antigens; within 6 addition, extent immunofluorescence titers antigen fractions approximated that had been throughout 16–18-hour period.
