摘要: Microring resonator-coupled Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MRCMZI) is attractive for its applications in the field of all-optical switch, with low threshold, fast response speed and compact scale suitable integration. The paper provides analytically numerically investigation on optical pulse transmission characteristics of MRCMZI. analytical formulations dynamic process are derived an easy-understood method light beam tracing. These formulations can degenerate gradually to steady-state when incident becomes quasi-continuous wave (CW) or adequately broad duration much more than cavity lifetime. For coupled-microresonator system, several interesting signal processing tasks, such as differentiation, integration, compression trigger pulse generation, can be realized. Because complementarity between two output ports MZI, pulse differentiation integration operations carried out synchronously at through optical interference reference direct-bus modulated bus. The interesting functions related shaping have potential future all-optical communication.
