摘要: Purpose of review Eosinophilic esophagitis is a recently recognized disorder receiving increasing attention. Patients present with symptoms gastroesophageal reflux and are not responsive to standard or aggressive medications. This article reviews all literature published in English from December 2005 November 2006 PubMed on the topic eosinophilic esophagitis. Recent findings Three articles have confirmed that food allergies causative more than 90% patients. different diet strategies were used: elemental, elimination based prick-skin test, atopy patch test removal six most common foods. The elemental had highest success rate (> 95%), whereas testing-based 75%) six-food 70%) lower rates. There no organized dietary trials adults. Summary pediatric patients confirms nearly respond an resolution normalization biopsies. Although diets testing allergens showed success, they less successful complete diet. Unfortunately, there very limited studies adults address this issue.
