摘要: Purpose To identify the frequency of human papilloma virus (HPV) in ocular surface squamous neoplasia (OSSN) and to evaluate differences clinical features treatment response tumors with positive versus negative HPV results. Design Retrospective case series. Participants Twenty-seven patients OSSN. Methods Ocular specimens were analyzed for presence HPV. Clinical interferon determined retrospectively linked (versus absence) Main Outcome Measures characteristics OSSN by status. Results Twenty-one 27 (78%) demonstrated The genotypes identified included HPV-16 10 (48%), HPV-31 5 tumors, HPV-33 1 tumor, HPV-35 2 HPV-51 2 tumors, a novel 3 (total 23 because tumor had genotypes). Tumors found superior limbus more likely show results (48% vs. 0%; P  = 0.06, Fisher exact test). larger (68 34 mm ; 0.08, Mann–Whitney U test) have papillomatous morphologic (50% 12%; 0.07, compared showing HPV-16. Human status was not be associated therapy ( 1.0, Metrics a nonfavorable male gender located conjunctivae. Conclusions seems common lesions nonexposed, limbus. does seem required favorable therapy.
