摘要: Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are caused by several pathogens, including bacteria, viruses and protozoa, can induce male infertility through multiple pathophysiological mechanisms. Additionally, horizontal transmission of STD pathogens to sexual partners or vertical fetuses neonates is possible. Chlamydia trachomatis, Ureaplasma spp., human papillomavirus, hepatitis B C viruses, HIV-1 cytomegalovirus have all been detected in semen from symptomatic asymptomatic men with testicular, accessory gland urethral infections. These associated poor sperm quality decreased concentration motility. However, the effects these agents on unclear, as herpes simplex virus type 1 2, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Mycoplasma Treponema pallidum Trichomonas vaginalis, because few studies evaluated influence infertility. Chronic inadequately treated infections seem be more relevant than acute are, although many cases exact aetiological remain unknown.
