摘要: Between January 1982 and December 1986, 54 patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the supraglottic larynx were treated for cure radiation therapy alone; all had a minimum 2-year follow-up. For 31 patients, high-quality pretreatment CT scans available review. Scans retrospectively evaluated by single radiologist percentage preepiglottic space involvement tumor, paralaryngeal involvement, total tumor volume in cubic centimeters (cc). Volume was measured using computer digitizer each slice showing tumor. Results showed significant difference local control tumors less than 6 cc versus greater or equal to (15/18 83% vs 6/13 46%; p = .038). This independent both T stage primary site. T3 lesions, there trend toward decreased increasing (0-25% 85% control; 25% 60% .384); most cases, however, amount reflected (0-25%, 8/12 67% cc; 25%, 7/10 70% cc). There no clear association between degree paraglottic control. Tumor did not correlate complications treatment. Because limited number current study, conclusions should be considered preliminary. However, data do suggest that findings, particularly volume, can predict likelihood alone larynx.
