摘要: This research aims to explore people's preferences of urban design qualities for walking on a commercial street, with Kawi Street located in neighborhood the town Malang Indonesia as case study. Based literature review, this study used eight qualities, i.e., enclosure, legibility, human scale, transparency, complexity, coherence, linkage, and imageability. applied survey method using self-administered paper-pencil questionnaire applying two measurement techniques: Likert scale was evaluations while multiple-rating scales were measure preference street. One hundred ten people randomly selected respondents. Regression analysis employed influence walking. Results indicated four that affect choice Implications findings will be discussed paper.
