摘要: Ti/steel interfaces are produced using field-assisted sintering technology, a technique known to bring about full consolidation of materials much lower temperatures and durations. The interface thickness is verified the energy-dispersive x-ray analysis exhibiting extent diffusion in regions. mechanical strength characterized dynamic indentation experiments at strain rates approaching 400 s−1. were conducted on within spatial error tolerance less than 3 µm. measurements hardness values, rates, plastic-residual depths correlated show relation with bulk-phase properties Ti steel. Johnson–Cook model fitted obtained normal stress–normal data based nanoimpact experiments. coefficient restitution loading its dependence impact velocity validate experimental results. results that interfacial affected by rate largely dependent upon structural inhomogeneity.
