摘要: We investigated a well-dated sediment section of palaeolake situated in the coastal zone Shikotan Island (Lesser Kurils) for organic sediment-geochemistry and biotic components (diatoms, chironomids, pollen) inorder to provide reconstruction palaeoenvironmental changes palaeo-events (tsunamis, sea-level fluctuations landslides) Holocene. During ca 8000 years sedimentation composition diatoms chironomids as well shifts terrestrial vegetation suggest that period until 5800 cal yr BP was characterized by warm humid climate (corresponds middle Holocene optimum) with cooling thereafter. A reconstructed from 900 at least 580 corresponds transition Nara-Heian-Kamakura stage can be correlated Medieval Warm Period. After PB, lake gradually dried out climatic signals could not obtained declining lacustrine biological communities, but increasing role spruce disappearance oak give evidences LIA. The marine regression stages site are identified 6200–5900 (at end transgression), 5500–5100 (Middle Jomon or Kemigawa regression), 1070–360 Heian transgression). lithological structure sediments diatom compositions multiple tsunami events different strengths Island. Most remarkable them dated around 7000, 6460, 5750, 4800, 950 BP. new results help understand environmental history Southern Kurils part Kuril-Kamchatka Aleutian Marginal Sea-Island Arc Systems North-Western Pacific region.
