摘要: Intracellular recording and staining techniques were applied to visual neurons in frog’s optic tectum pretectum study receptive fields, response characteristics, cellular morphologies, axonal projections, synaptic organizations. In the first experiment, properties of labeled neurons, classified according extracellular studies, could be correlated with morphology. Class T5.1 identified as large ganglionic layer 8 or 7, pear-shaped top 6. No obvious relationship was found between physiological morphological properties. T5.2 located on 6 resembled pyramidal type; an axon traced medulla oblongata. T5.3 8. Neurons responding predominantly by IPSPs layers 2, 4, second projections pretectal caudal thalamus examined Some from Lpd (lateral posterodorsal) nucleus projected bilaterally both lobes contralateral tectum; P (posterocentral) toward To electrical stimulation tract, former exhibited EPSP latter followed IPSP. third a pulse-triggered averaging technique investigate retino-tectal connections. Synaptic organizations retinal on-off fibers tectal E-E type (EPSP at off diffuse light) EI-EI IPSP light), respectively, examined. It that these types are monosynaptically excited fibers.
