摘要: Erythropoietin (EPO) promotes the production of red blood cells, key factor in regulation oxygen transport, and has been abused by athletes for performance enhancement endur- ance sports. Current methods to detect EPO mis- use are based on isoelectric focussing (IEF), dou- ble blotting, chemiluminescence detection. A new approach utilizing SDS-PAGE mobilities target analytes is presented. Employing two in- ternal standards (novel erythropoiesis stimulat- ing protein recombinant rat EPO), assay provides a tool which allows calculation relative mobility values endogenous urinary epoetins (e.g., Dynepo TM ) and, thus, distinction these doping control samples. reference group 53 healthy volunteers samples originating from (epoetin delta) excretion study con- ducted with single person were analyzed led significant discrimination EPO. clear differentia- tion was accomplished over period four days post-administration injection 50 IU/ kg body weight. Hence, method may be use- ful as screening procedure or complementary confirmation es- tablished IEF assay.
