摘要: Summary Anthrax is a serious disease caused by Bacillus anthracis. Humans can become infected handling products from animals, breathing spores and rarely eating undercooked meat animals. The genome of B. anthracis highly monomorphic thus shows very low DNA sequence variation. We analysed the molecular characteristics 12 isolates outbreaks in Croatia Bosnia Herzegovina, which have occurred during past 10 years along with two vaccine strains. Genotyping system based on variable-number tandem repeat analysis at six loci revealed that belong to genotype A1.a cluster whilst relate B2 cluster, compared 89 previously described genotypes. distribution evolutionarily distant clusters suggests an introduction this area least separate events.
