摘要: Osteoarthritis (OA) is one of the most prevalent forms joint disorder, associated with a tremendous socioeconomic burden worldwide. Various non-genetic and lifestyle-related factors such as aging obesity have been recognized major risk for OA, underscoring potential role epigenetic regulation in pathogenesis disease. OA-associated aberrations noted at level DNA methylation histone modification chondrocytes. These regulations are implicated driving an imbalance between expression catabolic anabolic factors, leading eventually to osteoarthritic cartilage destruction. Cellular senescence metabolic abnormalities driven by appear accompany drifts Notably, molecular events disorders influence chondrocytes, supporting notion that OA Here, we review accumulating evidence epigenetics homeostasis pathogenesis.
