摘要: Both tumor cell proliferation and metastasis are dependent on myosin II. Because UNC-45 is required to chaperone the assembly of a functional II motor, we examined expression general (GC) isoform in ovarian tumors. Serous carcinoma expressed elevated levels GC compared with normal surface epithelium benign cystadenoma. High-stage exhibited greater than low-stage serous carcinoma. Similarly, transcripts protein were higher lines immortalized epithelial cells. Elevation by ectopic enhanced rate cancer proliferation, whereas siRNA knockdown suppressed without altering levels. diffuse within cytoplasm confluent interphase cells, but both accumulated together at cleavage furrow during cytokinesis. also trafficked leading edges cells induced move scratch assay. Knockdown reduced spreading ability it was overexpression. In sum, these findings implicate metastasis.
