摘要: Propagating fronts and internal waves have been observed in the sea using bottom-mounted side-scan sonar1 Ardmucknish Bay, north of Oban on west coast Scotland. The fronts, between brackish water seawater, are generated when less saline, so dense, discharges tidally into from mouth a loch. appear to propagate direction loch, as might be expected, but were found almost at right angles this direction.
