摘要: BACKGROUND The prevalence of vitamin D deficiency among Saudi population has increased recently. social and pathological factors, including kidney disease that may have influenced the status not been investigated in Hail population. AIMS present study aims to: (1) investigate changes serum D, parathyroid hormone, calcium, phosphate levels patients with disease; (2) elucidate other possible physiological factors influence on status. METHODS A cross-sectional was carried out King Khalid Hospital Hail, Arabia. database attended Kidney Unit between September 2012 June 2013 searched data classified according to estimated glomerular filtration rate into stages 1-4. Beside function parameters, phosphorus, hormone were measured. RESULTS Out 167 who visited unit, 96 included study. results exhibited significant reductions level stage 4 by 52.05 per cent increase PTH amounting 3.5-fold. impairment at caused 15.74 calcium 8.17 cent. Significant correlations observed creatinine Log (r=0.704, p<0.0001) a negative correlation log (r=-0.373, p=0.001). CONCLUSION depletion concentration accompanied development severe secondary hyperparathyroidism progression disease. more prominent females, older ages, advanced
