摘要: Abstract Four-week-old rats received intraperitoneal injections of 3-H-proline, and their thoracic aortas were removed at various times after injection. Autoradiography the electron microscopic level was carried out on this tissue, together with isolation chemical analysis tritiated proline hydroxyproline from procollagen, elastin fractions. Autoradiograpic results expressed in terms tissue component volumes as calculated by morphometry. Autoradiographic grains concentrated over medial cells 15 minutes injection label. By 30 some extracellular label present well; 3 hours postinjection, large numbers found overlying cell surfaces, well collagen elastic fibers. Most 10 injection, although intracellular labeling persisted. On a grain per unit volume basis, steadily decreased time interval studied. Collagen showed maximal hours, but increased up to postinjection. Chemical 3-H-proline 3-H-hydroxyproline three fractions that incorporation into is, consistent autoradiographic products are, fact, these proteins, exclusion nonspecific labeling.
