摘要: Polysialic acid, a homopolymer of α2,8-linked sialic is one the carbohydrates expressed on neural precursors in embryonic and adult brain. synthesized by two polysialyltransferases (ST8SiaII ST8SiaIV), mainly modulates functions cell adhesion molecule (NCAM). acid-deficient mice demonstrated that polysialylated NCAM plays crucial roles various steps development, such as survival migration precursors, neuronal guidance, synapse formation. However, mechanisms diverse phenotypes molecules affected polysialic acid remain to be defined. To study stem cells, analyses cells from NCAM-deficient are useful. Here, we describe how prepare precursor mouse brain analyze differentiation neurosphere vitro.
