摘要: A multiyear, on-road emission measurement program carried out in the cities of Chicago, Illinois; Denver, Colorado; Los Angeles (LA), California; and Phoenix, Arizona shows large, fuel-specific tailpipe emissions reductions at all sites for carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), nitric oxide (NO). CO decreased between 56% (Denver) 71% (Chicago), HC decrease 27% (Phoenix) 63% (Denver), NO have dropped 48% (West LA) 68% (Chicago). Three observed factors common to are that occurring vehicles ages, influence engine load on emissions, especially NO, is reduced fleet-averaged deterioration near zero model years newer than 2001 older 1990.
