摘要: Not to be confused with emission spectroscopy, the detection of mobile source emissions by means a remote sensing device (RSD) is almost entirely an application absorption spectroscopy. In this article we discuss measurement individual vehicle remotely as drives in its normal driving mode. Most studies and commercial implementation have involved automobiles light duty trucks. However, same technology has been applied heavy trucks, locomotives, snowmobiles airplanes taxi takeoff modes. The challenge all these applications make precisely collocated measurements at 100 Hz both UV IR regions spectrum low noise. ability measure 1/1000 absorbance units necessary. only compensating advantage that cycle over one second or less, such slow instrument drift becomes unimportant. results are measured ratio CO2 calibrated certified cylinder known ratios. Using ratios, end result for each can expressed mass per kg L fuel well % which would were equipped tailpipe probe system (corrected any excess air might exhaust manifold).
