摘要: This paper demonstrates the application of multiple-model adaptive control (MMAC) strategy for robust damping low-frequency electromechanical oscillation in an interconnected power system. The algorithm uses a model-based approach to account variability and uncertainty involved postdisturbance dynamics Conventional proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers are tuned achieve desired performance each these models. Using Bayesian approach, probability model representing actual system response is computed iteration. resultant action derived as probability-weighted average individual moves controllers. has been used design test controller thyristor controlled series compensator (TCSC) device installed prototype scheme worked satisfactorily following possible disturbances without any prior knowledge about specific dynamics.
