摘要: Extravasation of Onyx is a rare complication during embolization arteriovenous malformations (AVM). We present case that was complicated by leakage into the cerebellum which later encountered surgical excision AVM. Our goal to report this event and outline successful treatment complication. The patient’s records were reviewed for medical history, laboratory radiologic workup, outpatient clinical follow-up. A 62-year-old female presented with Hunt Hess grade 2 modified Fisher subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) secondary ruptured left posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) aneurysm associated superior vermian Following endovascular intervention, completely embolized; however, only 75% AVM could be safely obliterated. from noted on her initial angiogram. Elective suboccipital craniectomy subsequently planned resection residual where extravasated posed an operative nuisance resection. Post-op angiogram confirmed complete AVM, as well bulk Onyx. Patient did post-operatively, remaining neurologically intact throughout hospital course. Although infrequently reported in literature, extravasation potential neurosurgeons should ready face. Adherence surrounding parenchyma hinder optimal increase complications. Therefore, careful dissection performed special care delicate neurovasculature. In case, mass achieved.
