摘要: Biomarkers to identify subjects at high-risk for developing lung cancer will revolutionize the disease outlook. Most biomarker studies have focused on patients already diagnosed with and in most cases is often advanced incurable. The objective of this study was use proteomics a plasma early detection lesions that may subsequently be harbinger cancer. Plasma samples were obtained from without grouped as never, current, or ex-smokers. An iTRAQbased proteomic analysis performed these pooled samples. We identified 31 proteins differentially abundant current smokers ex-smokers relative never smokers. Western blot ELISA analyses confirmed iTRAQ results demonstrated an increase apolipoprotein E (APOE) compared both There strong significant correlation APOE levels development premalignant squamous metaplasia. Additionally, we also showed higher tissue are seen metaplasia, supporting direct relationship. Our reveals elevated associated smoking, novel predictive protein morphological changes metaplasia lung.
