Microstructure and tribological performance of tungsten carbide reinforced stainless steel composite coatings by supersonic laser deposition

摘要: Abstract Supersonic laser deposition (SLD) is a relatively new coating technique, which combines irradiation with cold spray (CS). The focus of this research on the comparison between WC/SS316L composite coatings produced by CS and SLD respectively, respect to efficiency, WC distribution concentration, interfacial bonding, phases in microstructures, tribological properties, thus highlight beneficial effects process. experimental results show that concentration interface bonding can be improved due softening both powder particles substrate. has same as does because low heat involved high strong SS316L matrix significantly improve properties coating.
