摘要: Abstract. Active thermal tracer testing is a technique to get information about the flow and transport properties of an aquifer. In this paper we propose innovative methodology using active tracers in tomographic setup reconstruct cross-well hydraulic conductivity profiles. This facilitated by assuming that propagation injected mainly controlled advection. To reduce effects density viscosity changes diffusion, early-time diagnostics are used specific travel times breakthrough curves extracted. These inverted with eikonal solver staggered grid method constraints from pre-defined geometry improve resolution. Finally, non-reliable pixels removed derived tomograms. The applied successfully profiles as well 3-D block high-resolution fluvio-aeolian aquifer analog data set. Sensitivity analysis reveals negligible role injection temperature, but more attention has be drawn other technical parameters such rate. investigated detail through model-based diverse conditions order delineate feasible range applications for new approach.
