摘要: In order to analyse whether drug sensitivity testing would be beneficial for clinical decision-making in heavily pretreated patients, we retrospectively studied viral genotype and phenotypic resistance 12 HIV-1-infected each of them with a history failing at least one therapeutic regimen including or two protease inhibitors (PIs). The salvage therapy included nelfinavir as new PI all cases. Four patients showed sustained five transient load decrease. Three failed show significant decline plasma HIV-1 RNA. the baseline samples these cases, against components their combination could detected, whereas antiretroviral was still active cases treatment response. All response harboured viruses that were either fully sensitive resistant only drugs administered. our study, predictive success regimens.
