摘要: Corrections for self-absorption are of vital importance to accurate determination by gamma spectroscopy radionuclides such as 210Pb, 241Am and 234Th which emit low energy radiation. A simple theoretical model determining the necessary corrections well-type germanium detectors is presented. In this model, factors expressed in terms mass attenuation coefficient sample a parameter characterising well geometry. Experimental measurements used evaluate determine semi-empirical algorithm improved estimates geometrical parameter.
