摘要: Abstract Sensor data are the basis for performance and health assessment of most complex systems. Careful selection implementation sensors is critical to enable high fidelity system assessment. A model-based procedure that systematically selects an optimal sensor suite overall a designated host described. This procedure, termed Systematic Selection Strategy (S4), was developed at NASA John H. Glenn Research Center in order enhance design phase planning preparations in-space propulsion management systems (HMS). Information capabilities required utilize S4 approach support development robust diagnostics outlined. merit metric quantifies diagnostic risk reduction potential individual suites introduced.
