摘要: Type 14 is one of the common types isolated from patients all ages with infections caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae. Its capsular polysaccharide (Pn14) composed a neutrally charged tetrasaccharide repeat unit. Pn14 does not elicit protective levels antibodies in infants and children less than optimal immunogen 23-valent vaccine for adults. Pertussis toxin (PT) both virulence factor antigen Bordetella pertussis: it soluble at neutral pH forms insoluble complexes acidic polysaccharides. Both PT are potential components vaccines children. Accordingly, synthetic scheme was devised to prepare conjugate PT. An adipic acid hydrazide derivative bound 3.9 carbodiimide-mediated condensation. The conjugation procedure inactivated as assayed CHO cell histamine-sensitizing activity. Pn14-PT elicited mice estimated be humans neutralizing We plan evaluate clinically.
