摘要: Type 14 is one of the common types isolated from patients all ages with infections caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae. Its capsular polysaccharide (Pn14) composed a neutrally charged tetrasaccharide repeat unit. Pn14 does not elicit protective levels antibodies in infants and children less than optimal immunogen 23-valent vaccine for adults. Pertussis toxin (PT) both virulence factor antigen Bordetella pertussis: it soluble at neutral pH forms insoluble complexes acidic polysaccharides. Both PT are potential components vaccines children.
