摘要: Abstract This study addresses educational reform in Ghana with reference to one of the most important potential agents change any system schooling—its teachers. The empirical data on secondary teachers and trainee used here is taken from a larger case attitudes opinions parents education Ghana. Secondary are seriously underpaid, but not necessarily undervalued community. They take other jobs support themselves their families, yet they do lack commitment professional task teaching. It argued that financial pressure find sources remuneration militates against capacity act as rapidly reforming Ghanaian state. Furthermore, teaching often seen financially rewarding profession by new generation secondary-school graduates. author recommends teachers’ salaries be raised infrastructure for schools increased.
