摘要: -In most seabirds, breeding success can be related to the ability obtain a suitable nest-site within colony, and this may result in competition for limited number of available sites. Thus, if nest-sites vary quality, individuals same sex are expected compete access highest quality enhance their own fitness. It is therefore that intrasexual would correlation between size competing sex, or trait used as weapon, nest quality. Chinstrap Penguins (Pygoscelis antarctica) fight with other conspecifics using bill weapon. If provides an advantage intra-specific combat, we expect stronger bills males occupying best We studied patterns some adult morphological traits relation position colony Penguins. Bill morphology was central positions having deeper bills. This relationship found both sexes. Our data suggest not important factor involved sexual dimorphism shown by Penguin.
