On the friction and wear performance of boric acid lubricant combinations in extended duration operations

摘要: Lubrication is critical for minimizing wear in mechanical systems that operate extended time periods. Developing lubricants can be used engineering without replenishment – particularly those are environmentally friendly very important increasing the functional lifetime of components. In present investigation, duration pin-on-disk experiments were carried out to determine relative performance a wide range lubricant combinations commercial brake valve assembly. experiments, initially applied disk surface but not replenished over sliding distance more than 6000 m. The experimental results revealed boric acid was highly ineffective reducing surfaces tested. When combined with transmission fluid, however, mixture proved effective terms both friction and performance. Based on success then mixed canola oil form completely natural combination. further this combination yielded best all importance these results, as related use other such sheet metal stamping, subsequently ascertained discussed.
