摘要: Although relevance judgments are fundamental to the design and evaluation of all information retrieval systems, scientists have not reached a consensus in defining central concept relevance. This paper re-examines viewpoints major writers field, then introduces new approach. We believe that is multidimensional concept; it based on human judgment process; dependent both internal (cognitive) external (situational) factors; intersubjective but nevertheless systematic measurable. suggest different paradigm from classic source-to-destination communication model retrieval. user-centric cognitive views user system -as active determinant dimensions
