摘要: Stress and related concepts have long been associated with ideas about the genesis of mental physical disorders. The linking stress to disorder, however, typically very general in nature. theme present paper is that such nonspecific principles may obscure more specific relations between relatively distinct forms life particular types disorder outcome. historical progression on this topic traced assumptions behind specificity nonspecificity models are outlined. implications these developments next illustrated regard current conceptual operational shortcomings.
