Determination of Major Viral and Sub Viral Pathogens Incidence in Apple Orchards in Himachal Pradesh

摘要: Apple is the major commercial horticulture crop in Himachal Pradesh and other hill states of Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand some parts Northeastern India. In order to gather data on health status incidence virus virus-like pathogens apple orchards, survey was conducted month June September, 2010 Hatkoti, Rohru, Kuthara, Jubbal Khadapathar areas producing Shimla district Pradesh. A total 250 samples were collected analyzed by DAS-ELISA, NASH RT-PCR. results indicated that a 117 infected with chlorotic leaf spot (ACLSV), mosaic (ApMV), stem grooving (ASGV), pitting (ASPV) scar skin viroid (ASSVd). Results showed ASSVd predominant these highest infection rate 27.6% followed ASPV (17.2%), ACLSV (16.8%), ApMV (15.2%) ASGV (12%). Mixed viruses frequently detected trees The trees, which positive for viroids, variety fruit deformation rusting symptoms besides deformation, chlorosis.
